The lafoncox family
We are family that loves God, serving Jesus, teaching God's Word, loves each other and spending time together laughing, having fun and going on adventures! Four out of the five of us legally have the last name LaFon-Cox the only one who is not, is Josh... he's just Josh Cox.
Oldest to youngest
Angelique is the oldest, followed by Josh, then Aven, MaCaedyn and Samuel. Samuel is the tallest, but he's still the baby of the family!
our ministry
Our first love is serving children and teens, but we love to minister to people of all ages! We also love honoring our amazing Veterans and standing up for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel!
history
the beginning
Josh and Angelique were married on May 13, 1997 and began their ministry in music. Angelique was a church music minister, director of choirs and seasonal programs for many years and Josh was always singing and serving by her side.
Huggabear Beginning
After the birth of their second baby, MaCaedyn, God poured the idea of The Huggabear ministry into Angelique thorugh a dream. There were five parts to the ministry, The Huggabear Books, Huggabear Music, the Huggabear Friends show, the Huggabear Farm and God revealed the vision of The Huggabear Children's Project, Inc. (501c3 nonprofit organization) to both Josh and Angelique right after Hurricane Katrina August 2005. They began working and on June 5, 2009 receive the official stamp of approval for The Huggabear Children's Project, Inc. from the IRS as an official 501c3 organization for children. They have been working to serve children ever since!
Expansion and Goals
As their children Aven, MaCaedyn and Samuel grew, they began serving the organization, creating their own projects to bless children along the way. Every family member serves HCP as a volunteer. No salaries are taken by any family member. We hope to expand the ministry in every branch: through the book ministry, with the Huggabear Friends Show on YouTube, by building the DREAM Huggabear Farm and keep giving to assist children around the world and take them the love of Jesus through The Huggabear Children's Project, Inc.
